Wow am I glad to see this website 'coz for awhile there I thought my complaints about Circuit City's customer service (if they have one) will just end up as a bad memory.

Several months ago I purchased a big screen TV & TV stand from the Circuit City Los Angeles Branch. I ordered the item online.

The next day called the branch to confirm my order with a live person. The person I spoke to gave me a confirmation number & set up a delivery date.

The day came & I waited pass the window set by the delivery department (no one showed up & no one bothered to call).

I called already upset & was told that the order did not go through. Whattt ???? Remember they gave me a confirmation number. No one bothered to call.

After spending almost an hour on the phone I got the matter straightened out. Being that it is a big screen TV & stand I informed the delivery clerk that I have a 2-story house to make sure they have enough men to carry the stuff upstairs. I was also assured that the old TV (Mitsubishi) will be hauled away.

Came the delivery guy on his pick up truck. I was expecting a box truck. Out came the driver & started to unload the TV & TV stand. I can see he's struggling trying to get the TV & stand from the back of his truck.

Surprised that he's alone I asked where his helper was & he said there's nobody else but confidently told me that he can get the TV & stand upstairs by himself. Hmmmm . . . he pulled a dolly from his truck & started to mount the TV stand first.

Told the guy that he cannot use the dolly as I have a brand new engineered floor (including the stairs).

He can't even lift the TV stand (solid wood). Frustration mounting my son eventually helped him.

Now for the fun part . . . taking down the old Mitsubishi TV which weighs a ton. My son weighs 200+ lbs & this guy must be around 160, if that. Going down the stairs took half an hour as they both labor trying to maneuver the old TV which almost fell & slid straight down.

In short he damaged the stair railings but finally got it down. No he did not haul the old TV either & left it downstairs. He said it's not included in the delivery service. I showed him the printed delivery contract I purchased but to no avail.

I filed a complaint with the "corporate office" via e-mail through their own website & it's been almost a year & no one has gotten back to me regarding the damage to my house & the poor service.

Oh by the way, the TV was supposed to come with a free video camcorder. You guessed it . . . he didn't have it & I never received it.

I know my story is too long but I hope this get posted so anyone thinking of buying large electronic items should think twice before buying it from Circuit City. Forget getting it delivered.
